Rep. Brendan Boyle, a Democratic member of the U.S. Congress representing Pennsylvania’s 2nd District since 2015, recently shared a series of tweets addressing concerns about American benefits and Social Security. He took a strong stand against perceived threats and efforts to undermine these programs. Boyle’s career in public service began in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives before proceeding to Congress.

On March 29, 2025, Rep. Boyle asserted the importance of defending American benefits against Republican actions, noting the influence of ongoing advocacy. In his tweet, “Standing up for your benefits works.” He stated that Republicans are aware that American families will not tolerate any attacks on their hard-earned benefits, reiterating a commitment: “They’re feeling the pressure — and we won’t stop fighting back.”

In a subsequent tweet posted on March 29, 2025, Boyle underscored what he views as a significant threat to Social Security, naming Elon Musk and Donald Trump directly. He emphasized the longevity and value of Social Security as a program, stating, “Social Security is a sacred promise that Americans have EARNED.” Boyle pledged his ongoing commitment to its defense, “and I will always fight to defend it.”
