Rep. Brendan Boyle, a U.S. Congressman representing Pennsylvania’s 2nd district since 2015, has posted a series of tweets criticizing former President Donald Trump and his administration’s actions.

On February 24, 2026, Boyle commented on recent accusations against Trump, writing: “There are no words strong enough to describe the vile behavior Trump is accused of in these files. We now know Trump’s Justice Department is withholding files related to accusations against him. What is he hiding?”

The following day, as Trump prepared to deliver his State of the Union address, Boyle posted: “Trump will give his #SOTU speech soon. Here’s what you won’t hear:” on February 25, 2026.

Later that same day, Boyle addressed Trump’s tariff policy: “Trump bragged about taking in hundreds of billions of dollars with his tariffs. His tariffs are a national sales tax – and that’s hundreds of billions of YOUR dollars that he’s bragging about taking.”

Brendan Boyle has served in Congress since succeeding Allyson Schwartz in 2015 and previously represented Philadelphia in the Pennsylvania House from 2009 to 2015. Born in Philadelphia in 1977, Boyle holds a BA from the University of Notre Dame (1999) and continues to reside in Philadelphia.
