Rep. Brendan Boyle, a U.S. Congressman representing Pennsylvania’s 2nd district since 2015, used his social media platform on January 21, 2026, to criticize Republican health care policy and highlight the personal impact of recent legislative changes.

In a tweet posted at 16:44 UTC, Boyle commented on President Trump’s priorities by stating, “I’ve got a novel idea for President Trump: instead of giving Americans Greenland, how about giving them health care?”

Later that day at 18:26 UTC, Boyle spotlighted an individual affected by the expiration of Affordable Care Act (ACA) tax credits: “Rena Bumbray-Graves cares for others every day. Because Republicans let the ACA tax credits expire, she’s now losing her own health care—along with millions of Americans. I asked her what this crisis means for her family.” He tagged @seiuva512 and @SEIU in his post.

At 20:29 UTC, Boyle addressed fiscal policy and its effects on American families: “Republicans are adding $4 trillion to the national debt so billionaires can get more tax breaks — all while they cut health care for working Americans. Their unconscionable cuts are forcing families to choose between their health and keeping a roof over their heads.”

Brendan Boyle has represented Pennsylvania’s 2nd District in Congress since succeeding Allyson Schwartz in 2015. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2009 to 2015. Born in Philadelphia in 1977 and currently residing there, Boyle holds a BA from the University of Notre Dame.
