Rep. Brendan Boyle, U.S. Congressman representing Pennsylvania’s 2nd district since 2015, used his social media platform on December 17, 2025, to criticize Republican approaches to health care and call for immediate legislative action.

In a post published at 15:17 UTC, Boyle stated, “The American people have been loud and clear: don’t allow health care premiums to skyrocket. @SpeakerJohnson must immediately schedule the vote.”

Later that day, at 20:26 UTC, he continued his critique of Republican policies by writing, “Calling the Republican “plan” a solution to the health care crisis is like saying 2+2=170. It’s nonsense. Their scheme actually kicks even more Americans off their coverage — on top of the 15 million already losing health care because of Republican policies.”

By the evening, Boyle further expressed his disapproval of recent GOP actions in Congress regarding health policy: “Instead of extending the ACA credits, Republican leadership pushed a health care scheme that does nothing to fix the very crisis they caused. They are ignoring millions of Americans whose health care premiums are skyrocketing.”

Brendan Boyle has served in Congress since replacing Allyson Schwartz in 2015 after previously serving in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2009 to 2015. Born in Philadelphia in 1977 and currently residing there at age 46, Boyle graduated with a BA from the University of Notre Dame in 1999.
