Rep. Brendan Boyle, U.S. Congressman representing Pennsylvania’s 2nd district since 2015, has recently used his social media platform to criticize former President Donald Trump and Republican lawmakers regarding health care policy and Congressional conduct.

On January 14, 2026, Boyle posted: “Trump’s platitudes are worthless — look at his record.

If he cared about bringing down costs, he wouldn’t have sent health care premiums skyrocketing, imposed a national sales tax with his tariffs, or blown up the deficit to give tax breaks to his billionaire friends.”

The following day, on January 15, 2026, Boyle shared another message: “Trump’s new health care plan if it was honest: https://t.co/9n68wMEkgH https://t.co/j0HczIQ44C”

Continuing his criticism on January 16, 2026, Boyle wrote: “Trump and his Republican enablers want Congress to be nothing more than a rubber stamp for all of Trump’s whims.

It’s pathetic — they’re supposed to fight for their constituents, not bend the knee to their dear leader.”

Brendan Boyle has represented Pennsylvania’s 2nd District in Congress since replacing Allyson Schwartz in 2015. Prior to that role, he served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2009 until joining Congress. Born in Philadelphia in 1977 and currently residing there at age 46, Boyle graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1999.
