Rep. Brendan Boyle, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Pennsylvania’s 2nd district, has recently used his social media platform to criticize former President Donald Trump and Republican policies on issues ranging from healthcare to economic management.
On July 30, 2025, Boyle addressed bipartisan concerns about healthcare costs, stating: “Hospital bills don’t care if you’re a Democrat or Republican. Protecting Medicare and Medicaid should be a bipartisan issue. But as I shared with @6abc recently, Trump and Republicans are selling out the middle class to give tax breaks to their billionaire friends.”
The following day, July 31, 2025, Boyle commented on transparency and inflation: “While Donald Trump hides the Epstein files, inflation keeps going up. He said he would release the files, but he hasn’t. He said he would bring prices down, but he’s making it worse. The only promises he’s kept are the ones he made to his billionaire buddies.”
On August 1, 2025, in response to new economic data releases, Boyle criticized Trump’s handling of the economy: “Chaotic presidents make for chaotic economies. Today’s disastrous jobs report is a direct result of Trump’s chaotic policies. Prices are rising and job growth is slowing — the exact opposite of what American families need.”
Boyle has represented Pennsylvania’s 2nd District in Congress since 2015 after serving in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2009 to 2015. Born in Philadelphia in 1977 and currently residing there at age 46, Boyle graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1999.
