Rep. Brendan Boyle, a U.S. Congressman representing Pennsylvania’s 2nd district since 2015, has criticized former President Donald Trump’s recent policies in a series of posts on social media.

On February 12, 2026, Boyle wrote: “This reckless decision by Donald Trump will kill good-paying clean energy jobs, raise energy costs, and threaten the health of our children. I’ll keep working to do everything I can in Congress to fight Donald Trump’s pro-pollution policies.”

Continuing his criticism the following day, Boyle stated: “Thanks to Trump’s tariff taxes, the cost of living crisis keeps getting worse. American families literally can’t afford Trump’s reckless policies and his disastrous tariffs.” This post was published on February 13, 2026.

On February 14, 2026, Boyle further commented on economic issues: “The average American family paid over one thousand dollars more for necessities in 2025. Meanwhile, as he calls affordability ‘a hoax,’ Donald Trump is busy designing gilded ballrooms for his White House. He couldn’t be more out of touch.”

Brendan Boyle has served in Congress since replacing Allyson Schwartz in 2015 and previously represented constituents in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2009 to 2015. Born in Philadelphia in 1977 and currently residing there at age 46, Boyle graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1999.
