Rep. Brendan Boyle, a U.S. Congressman representing Pennsylvania’s 2nd district since 2015, posted several statements on December 10, 2025, addressing economic and security issues and criticizing former President Donald Trump.

In a tweet from the early morning hours of December 10, Boyle accused Trump of misleading Pennsylvanians about the cost-of-living crisis. He wrote, “Trump called the cost-of-living crisis a ‘con,’ but now he’s in Pennsylvania claiming he’s lowering costs. His empty promises are the real con — and Pennsylvanians aren’t buying it. This is the same guy raising prices with his tariff taxes and taking health care from Americans.”

Later that day, Boyle commented on NATO’s role in international security. In his post at 17:43 UTC, he stated, “NATO is the most successful security alliance in history, and as the lead Democrat on our @natopa delegation, I’ll do everything in my power to ensure it remains strong. Discussions with allies and colleagues, like this one, ensure NATO continues to keep Americans safe.”

At 19:13 UTC on December 10, Boyle again criticized Trump’s economic policies: “Trump continues to raise prices on Americans with his tariff taxes. The labor market is flailing on his watch. Republicans are kicking millions off their health care. Today’s Fed decision is yet another sign that Trump’s economy is not working for regular Americans.”

Brendan Boyle has represented Pennsylvania’s 2nd District since replacing Allyson Schwartz in Congress in 2015; before that he served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2009 to 2015. Born in Philadelphia in 1977 and currently residing there, Boyle graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a BA in 1999.
