Rep. Brendan Boyle, who represents Pennsylvania’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, announced recent community outreach efforts and federal funding initiatives in a series of tweets on August 20, 2025.

On August 20, Boyle posted about his team’s involvement at a local event: “Team Boyle was out in Olney meeting our neighbors and celebrating the grand opening of City Councilman @PhillipsDist9’s new district office. If you’re ever in need of assistance with a federal agency, my office is here to help!” (posted August 20, 2025).

Later that day, he shared details regarding federal support for the Urban League: “NEW: I’ve delivered $750,000 in federal funding for @urbanleaguegphl. The Urban League and I are in the same business — helping Philadelphians. That’s why I have offices across our city, and it’s why the Urban League is using this money to open a new location for our neighbors.” (posted August 20, 2025).

Boyle also outlined the services that will be available at the new Urban League office: “The new Urban League office will provide critical services like housing assistance, small business support, and job training. This investment builds up our neighbors, so they can build up our neighborhoods.” (posted August 20, 2025).

Brendan Boyle has served as U.S. Representative for Pennsylvania’s 2nd District since replacing Allyson Schwartz in 2015. He previously served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2009 to 2015 and was born and raised in Philadelphia.
