Rep. Brendan Boyle, U.S. Congressman representing Pennsylvania’s 2nd district since 2015, has recently used his social media platform to criticize former President Donald Trump’s economic policies and highlight federal investments in Philadelphia.

On November 15, 2025, Boyle posted: “Trump said he’d lower costs on day one. It’s been nearly 300 days now, and he’s only made life more expensive. The average American family will pay $1,800 more because of Trump’s tariff taxes.”

Later that same day, Boyle highlighted his work for his constituents: “It’s the honor of my life to represent the people of Philadelphia and the hallowed ground on which our nation was founded. I’m proud to have delivered an additional $850,000 to improve Independence Mall, totaling nearly $4 million in investments I’ve brought to the area.”

On November 18, 2025, Boyle addressed Russell Vought’s absence before a congressional committee and criticized Republican policies: “Russell Vought, the architect of Project 2025, is ducking the Budget Committee because he can’t defend the administration’s destructive, unpopular record. The cost of everything from coffee and beef to energy bills and health care is skyrocketing because of Republicans’ polices.”

Brendan Boyle succeeded Allyson Schwartz in Congress in 2015 after serving six years in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. Born in Philadelphia in 1977 and currently residing there, Boyle has consistently focused on local issues such as improvements to Independence Mall while also engaging with national policy debates.
