State Rep. Jim Struzzi announced on April 17 that he will hold his annual Youth Fishing Derby at Young Township Park, with the event scheduled for Saturday, April 18, from 9 a.m. to noon. The derby is open and free for attendees up to age 15 and will feature a special appearance by Smokey Bear, prizes for most fish and first fish caught, as well as complimentary refreshments.

The event provides an opportunity for local youth to engage in outdoor activities while also connecting with their community representative. Members of the media are invited to attend the derby.
