Motorists in Lycoming County should be aware of ongoing resurfacing work on Route 220. The project, led by Suit-Kote Corporation, involves applying a micro-surface treatment between Williamsport and Linden, as well as on the northbound lanes between Pine Creek and Route 287. Drivers can expect alternating lane restrictions during daylight hours.

The $2.7 million project includes milling and resurfacing bridge approaches, micro-surfacing road treatments, and line painting. Additional work will occur on Broad Street in Montoursville and Lycoming Mall Drive east of the Fairfield Road interchange. Completion is expected by fall 2025, weather permitting.

Motorists are advised to stay alert for changing traffic patterns and approach crossovers with caution in the work zone. Traffic conditions can be monitored through www.511PA.com or via their smartphone app.

PennDOT encourages drivers to subscribe to news and traffic alerts for updates in various counties including Tioga, Bradford, Lycoming, Sullivan, Union, Snyder, Northumberland, Montour, and Columbia at www.penndot.pa.gov/District3.
