The section between Double Hill Road and Claypike Road/Route 2021 (Kecksburg Road) will remain closed as work is expected to continue through early July, subject to weather and operational conditions.
The Westmoreland County maintenance department is conducting a pipe replacement and inlet installation on this route. Motorists are advised to stay alert and adhere to posted signs and speed limits for safety.
A detour is in place, directing traffic from Route 982 to Route 31 (Laurelville Road/Main Street), then to Route 981 (Church Street/Mount Pleasant Calumet Road), and finally to Route 2021 (Kecksburg Road).
