The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 has announced the continued closure of Route 982 in Mount Pleasant Township, Westmoreland County. The section between Double Hill Road and Claypike Road/Route 2021 (Kecksburg Road) will remain closed as work is expected to continue through early July, subject to weather and operational conditions.

The Westmoreland County maintenance department is conducting a pipe replacement and inlet installation on this route. Motorists are advised to stay alert and adhere to posted signs and speed limits for safety.

A detour is in place, directing traffic from Route 982 to Route 31 (Laurelville Road/Main Street), then to Route 981 (Church Street/Mount Pleasant Calumet Road), and finally to Route 2021 (Kecksburg Road).
