The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania has announced that Darious Felder, a 34-year-old resident of Shenandoah, Pennsylvania, faces federal charges for drug trafficking offenses. The indictment was issued by a federal grand jury.

Acting United States Attorney John C. Gurganus stated that the indictment accuses Felder of conspiring with others to distribute and possess with intent to distribute over 50 grams of methamphetamine from January 2025 to April 25, 2025, in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. Additionally, it alleges that Felder distributed and possessed with intent to distribute the same amount on three occasions in March and April of this year.

The investigation is being conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), the Shenandoah Police Department, and the Schuylkill County District Attorney’s Office. Assistant U.S. Attorney James M. Buchanan is handling the prosecution.

This case is part of Operation Take Back America, an initiative aimed at combating illegal immigration and dismantling cartels and transnational criminal organizations while protecting communities from violent crime perpetrators. This operation utilizes resources from various task forces including Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETFs) and Project Safe Neighborhood (PSN).

If convicted under federal law for these offenses, Felder could face up to forty years in prison, followed by supervised release and fines. Sentencing would be determined by a judge based on federal sentencing statutes and guidelines.

It is important to note that indictments are merely allegations; all individuals charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
