Isaiah Postell-Jones, a 25-year-old resident of Swoyersville, Pennsylvania, was sentenced on April 13 to ten years in prison and five years of supervised release for distributing methamphetamine. The sentence was handed down by United States District Judge Robert D. Mariani, according to an announcement from the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
The case highlights ongoing efforts by federal and local authorities to address drug-related offenses in the region.
United States Attorney Brian D. Miller said that Postell-Jones admitted to selling more than 100 grams of methamphetamine on March 13, 2024, in a parking lot located in Wilkes-Barre for $900. Miller also said that Postell-Jones admitted to selling fake methamphetamine on two other occasions.
The investigation involved cooperation between the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Wilkes-Barre Police Department, and the Luzerne County District Attorney’s Office. Assistant United States Attorney James M. Buchanan prosecuted the case.
Authorities continue to pursue cases involving illegal drug distribution as part of broader public safety efforts.
