Penn State’s Sean Harvey was named the Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (EIVA) Offensive Player of the Week on Apr. 20, marking his fourth time receiving this award during the season.

The recognition follows a standout performance by Harvey that helped Penn State secure an undefeated 12-0 record in conference play and clinch the regular season title. The Nittany Lions achieved two five-set victories over George Mason to complete their conference schedule.

Harvey averaged 4.30 points per set across both matches, recording a .373 hitting percentage with averages of 3.80 kills, 2.10 digs, and 0.80 blocks per set. In Friday’s win, he tallied 20 kills on .357 hitting along with six digs and five blocks. On Saturday, he delivered a double-double with 18 kills at a .394 clip, collected 15 digs, three blocks, and added one ace.

Throughout the season, Penn State players received nine weekly honors from the EIVA. Alongside Harvey’s four offensive awards, Owen Rose earned Defensive Player of the Week three times while Ryan Merk claimed that distinction twice.

As regular season champions and top seed in their conference tournament, Penn State will host the EIVA Tournament from Wednesday through Saturday.
