The Pittsburgh Steelers released responses to a range of fan inquiries in their “Asked and Answered” column on May 20. The topics included quarterback roster decisions, player transactions, game scheduling, and community initiatives.

This regular Q&A feature provides fans with official answers about team operations and policies. It offers insights into how the organization approaches both football strategy and community engagement.

One question addressed the possibility of keeping three quarterbacks on the active roster. The response said, “It would take a lot of video evidence to convince me to go into the regular season with 3 quarterbacks and with two of them having absolutely no NFL experience.” Regarding Aaron Rodgers’ signing, it was confirmed: “Aaron Rodgers’ signing of the contract actually happened – not reported by sources or via social media speculation – on Monday, Sept. 18. A story stating that Rodgers had signed was posted on Steelers.com at 11:15 a.m. the same day.” Another answer explained practice squad rules for quarterbacks: “To get a player from the training camp roster to the practice squad, he must first clear waivers… If that player clears waivers and then is signed to the practice squad, any team can offer to sign him to its 53-man roster with no compensation due…”

On community involvement, one fan asked about donating suits for high school boys through Cam Heyward’s initiative. The response clarified: “It’s actually called Craig’s Closet… Craig’s Closet is not accepting donations at this time. You can check the website: https://thecameronheywardfoundation.org/craigs-closet/ for the time when donations again will be accepted.” Questions about ticket sales were also answered; fans were directed to Steelers.com for information regarding individual game tickets.

Scheduling details were discussed as well. President Art Rooney II said regarding holiday games: “The League has been holding back the days and times of the games around Christmas weekend… so we won’t know our day and time until probably sometime in December for that one.”

The Pittsburgh Steelers have achieved notable success with six Super Bowl championships in their history and have honored figures such as Terry Bradshaw and Joe Greene in their Hall of Honor for their contributions according to the official website. The franchise also features a Hall of Honor Museum at Acrisure Stadium displaying artifacts related to its history according to its official website.

As an established member franchise of the National Football League (NFL), according to its official website, Pittsburgh continues engaging fans through historical celebrations while providing updates on current team matters.
