The Pittsburgh Steelers announced their 2026 regular season schedule on May 15, featuring four primetime games and participation in the NFL Paris Game against the New Orleans Saints. The team will also play at home on Black Friday against the Denver Broncos.
The new schedule is significant as it includes the first-ever NFL regular season game in France, highlighting the league’s efforts to expand its global presence. The Steelers’ appearance in multiple primetime slots continues their tradition of national exposure.
“We’re honored to represent the Pittsburgh Steelers and the NFL in the League’s first-ever game in Paris this upcoming season,” said Steelers President Art Rooney II. “Playing the New Orleans Saints in such a historic setting is a great opportunity to showcase the NFL’s global growth and to connect with fans around the world. It’s an exciting moment for our organization and for Steelers Nation everywhere.”
Linebacker Alex Highsmith said, “I’m really excited for it. I think it’s awesome that we’re playing in these different countries. Fans in a lot of different countries around the world are starting to love the game of football. The more eyes we get on it, the more exposure, the more people are going to love it, so it’s only going to continue to grow.” The contest will be held at Stade de France on Oct. 25 and broadcast nationally.
The Steelers’ schedule includes six games against teams that made postseason appearances last year: Carolina Panthers, Denver Broncos, Houston Texans, Jacksonville Jaguars, New England Patriots, and Philadelphia Eagles. They will open their season at home against Atlanta Falcons on Sept. 13—a rare occurrence since Acrisure Stadium opened—and face traditional rivals like Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns early in AFC North play.
The franchise has achieved notable success over its history with six Super Bowl championships and numerous Hall of Honor inductees who have contributed significantly both on and off field according to their official website. The organization also promotes community engagement through celebrations like its Hall of Honor Museum at Acrisure Stadium according to their official website.
Flexible scheduling procedures remain part of this year’s slate; certain Sunday night, Monday night, or Thursday night matchups may change times or dates during specified weeks based on league decisions aimed at maximizing fan interest.
