The Pittsburgh Steelers held a ribbon cutting on April 23 for Steelers Country, a new 12,000-square-foot interactive fan zone at Point State Park during the 2026 NFL Draft.

The opening of Steelers Country marks an effort to bring together fans and celebrate the traditions of Steelers Nation during one of football’s major annual events. The initiative reflects the team’s ongoing community engagement and recognition of its passionate supporters.

Dan Rooney, Vice President of Business Development & Strategy for the Steelers, was joined by team legend Charlie Batch, NFL Executive Vice President Peter O’Reilly, Pittsburgh Mayor Corey O’Connor, Senior Vice President Ryan Huzjak and Director of State Parks John Hallas at the ceremony. “Such an exciting week for our city, our region,” said Rooney. “The vision of so many years is truly coming to life right now. I couldn’t be happier for Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania.” Rooney added: “Today we are celebrating football fans, specifically the best fans in the National Football League, Steelers Nation… It’s a great gathering for our fan base. They will be able to see the flavor of Steelers Nation across the world.” O’Reilly said: “On behalf of the entire NFL, happy Draft Eve… The bar has been set high as we go around the country. I have every confidence that Steelers Nation… are going to re-set the bar for the Draft. It’s going to be incredibly special.” Batch said: “This area is about telling the Steelers story, showing how much the organization appreciates the fanbase… This shows everyone that Pittsburgh is capable of putting on a global event.”

Steelers Country features include live broadcasts with players and legends, a global-themed bar experience called Steelers Nation Unite Bar with rotating locations from worldwide bars supporting Pittsburgh’s team spirit; an immersive Fan Cave designed like a classic 1970s basement; displays featuring replicas of all six Super Bowl rings—reflecting their championships according to their official website; entertainment shows including Q&As; custom art installations such as a Terrible Towel piece; yard games; photo opportunities; merchandise trailers; exclusive retail locations with special-edition items commemorating Pittsburgh hosting this year’s draft.

Admission is free but requires registration via NFL OnePass App available through NFL.com/DraftAccess.

Beyond game days and championships—including six Super Bowl victories according to their official website—the franchise also honors past contributors in its Hall of Honor as listed online, operates community programs tied to its history as outlined on their site, and features artifacts at Acrisure Stadium’s Hall of Honor Museum according to their official website. The team remains an active member franchise within the National Football League based on information from its official site.

Batch concluded: “This is an exciting time for everybody in the area, and I encourage everybody to be a part of something.”
