The Pittsburgh Steelers announced on May 5 the signing of tight end Jaheim Bell to a one-year contract.
This move adds depth to the team’s roster, as Bell was previously with the Steelers practice squad near the end of the 2025 season. The signing comes as part of ongoing efforts by the franchise, which is recognized for its achievements including six Super Bowl championships, according to the official website.
Bell entered professional football after being drafted by the New England Patriots in the seventh round of the 2024 NFL Draft from Florida State. He appeared in 15 games for New England and recorded two receptions for 20 yards. Last year, he also spent time on the Philadelphia Eagles practice squad before joining Pittsburgh. During his college career, Bell played three seasons at South Carolina before transferring to Florida State for his final year. Over his collegiate tenure, he played in 38 games and tallied 95 receptions for 1,260 yards and nine touchdowns along with four rushing touchdowns.
The Steelers have a long tradition of honoring their standout contributors through initiatives such as their Hall of Honor, which recognizes figures like Terry Bradshaw and Joe Greene for their impact on team history as listed on the official website. The team also supports community engagement through historical celebrations and fan experiences detailed online.
Fans can learn more about these traditions at Acrisure Stadium’s Hall of Honor Museum, where artifacts and honors are displayed according to information from the official website. As a member franchise affiliated with the National Football League, Pittsburgh has earned recognition both through its championship successes and numerous inductions into its Hall of Honor.
