Rep. Brendan Boyle, a U.S. Congressman representing Pennsylvania's 2nd district since 2015, has expressed concerns through a series of tweets regarding the impact of certain political figures on Philadelphia's economy and services. Boyle, who resides in Philadelphia and holds a BA from the University of Notre Dame, took to social media to address these issues.

On March 10, 2025, Rep. Boyle posted a tweet stating "Trump and Musk are hellbent on attacking Philadelphia jobs, Philadelphia’s economy, and the countless Philadelphians who rely on vital services like VA health care." He urged those affected by delays in essential services to share their stories with him so he could advocate on their behalf.

In another tweet dated March 11, 2025, Rep. Boyle criticized former President Donald Trump for his economic management during his tenure. He wrote that "Donald Trump is not just a regular, ordinary screw-up...He inherited an economy with projections of growth as far as the eye could see — and turned it into the #TrumpSlump."
