The Football Town, an immersive documentary produced by NFL Films, will be available for free showings to attendees of the 2026 NFL Draft Presented by Bud Light from April 23-25. The screenings will take place at the Kamin Science Center’s Rangos Giant Cinema in Pittsburgh and are part of a broader effort to highlight the region’s football heritage.
This initiative aims to provide visitors with a deeper understanding of Pittsburgh’s connection to football, especially as the city hosts hundreds of thousands for the once-in-a-generation draft event. The film is narrated by Pittsburgh native Pat McAfee and features appearances from notable Steelers figures such as Bill Cowher, Jerome Bettis, Joey Porter Sr., and James Harrison. It explores local traditions including Friday night lights, youth football programs, college teams, and Steelers games on Sundays.
Showings are scheduled multiple times daily: on April 23 and 24 at 1 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 4 p.m., and 5:30 p.m.; and on April 25 at 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. Tickets can be obtained through registration in the NFL’s One Pass app. The Science Center is located near Acrisure Stadium within the main area set up for draft activities.
The Football Town is presented by U.S. Steel as part of its celebration marking its 125th anniversary in Pittsburgh. According to the official website, the Steelers have honored players like Terry Bradshaw and Joe Greene in their Hall of Honor for significant contributions to both team history and community engagement.
The franchise has achieved six Super Bowl championships according to their official records and features historical displays such as the Hall of Honor Museum at Acrisure Stadium as described online. As a member franchise of the National Football League according to team information, these celebrations underscore why events like The Football Town screening hold special significance during major gatherings like the draft.
