Warner to host Seniors for Safe Driving seminar in Connellsville on May 8

Rep. Ryan Warner announced on Apr. 27 that area senior citizens are invited to attend a Seniors for Safe Driving Seminar aimed at improving driving skills and providing insurance discounts.

The seminar is scheduled for Friday, May 8, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Connellsville Senior Center located at 100 E. Fayette St., Connellsville. The event will feature a safe driving instructor who will cover topics such as communicating with other drivers, risk management, airbags, sharing the road, road signs, signals, pavement markings and more.

All seniors aged 55 and older who complete the seminar will receive a certificate granting them a minimum of five percent off their auto insurance premiums for three years. The cost to attend is $17 per student, and participants are asked to RSVP by Monday, May 4 by calling Warner’s office or signing up online.
