Warner to host Seniors for Safe Driving seminar in Connellsville on May 8

Rep. Ryan Warner announced on Apr. 27 that he will host a Seniors for Safe Driving Seminar for area residents aged 55 and older. The event is scheduled for Friday, May 8, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Connellsville Senior Center, located at 100 E. Fayette St., Connellsville.

The seminar aims to help senior citizens improve their driving skills and qualify for a discount on auto insurance. According to Warner, participants who complete the course will receive a certificate granting them at least five percent off their auto insurance premiums for three years. The registration fee is $17 per person, and attendees are asked to RSVP by Monday, May 4 by calling Warner’s office or signing up online.

During the session, an instructor will cover topics such as communicating with other drivers, risk management strategies, airbag safety, sharing the road with others, understanding road signs and signals, pavement markings and additional aspects of safe driving.
