CARLISLE AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: GHAR Holds Charity Golf Outing

Golf

Carlisle Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Sept 8.

Greater Harrisburg Association of REALTORS® Foundation hosted its Annual Golf Outing on Wednesday, September 2, 2020, at Armitage Golf Club in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. Proceeds will benefit housing-related charities in the Greater Harrisburg area.

The Foundation welcomes men, women, and mixed foursomes from all business and organization types. For the 144 golfers, a shotgun start marked the beginning of the tournament at noon. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Foundation did not hold the dinner portion of the event and made some logistical changes. The Foundation thanks everyone for their cooperation.

A donation drive of shampoo and conditioner, razors, body wash and standard size pillow cases was held for Family Promise of Harrisburg Capital Region. Family Promise of Harrisburg Capital Region houses families experiencing homelessness while assisting them to gain employment, housing, and social services.

Golf tournament prizes included a Hole-In-One contest for a new car, Longest Drive, Straightest Drive, Closest to the Pin, Longest Putt, and more. Because of the generous support of our sponsors, donors, and golfers, the Foundation raised thousands of dollars to give back to the community.
