Gov. Tom Wolf attended the inauguration of President Joe Biden, but he had recently advised Pennsylvania residents to cancel all non-essential travel, violating his own rules.

Wolf had advised all Pennsylvanians to "avoid leaving their homes unless absolutely necessary" and has required all travelers who enter the state to quarantine for 10 days or provide a negative COVID-19 test.

When asked to explain why he would tell Pennsylvanians not to travel and then do so himself, Wolf’s office told The Free Beacon that Wolf was “following the travel orders and guidelines in place and was tested within 72 hours prior to his planned return to the commonwealth."

President Joe Biden's inauguration took place on Jan. 20. It came at a time when the surging coronavirus had claimed more than 400,000 lives in the United States.

Biden hit the ground running, announcing his 100-day plan which includes curbing the virus and speeding up of vaccination to anxiously awaiting Americans. A $1.9 trillion economic relief package has also been set up.
