Senator-elect Dave McCormick has named Mark Isakowitz as his Chief of Staff, signaling a commitment to experienced leadership as he prepares to begin his first term representing Pennsylvania in the U.S. Senate.
According to a press release, Isakowitz, a veteran of Capitol Hill, most recently served as Chief of Staff to Senator Rob Portman of Ohio, where he helped shepherd major legislation, including the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, through Congress. His extensive experience spans over 30 years in both legislative and advisory roles, working with government entities, businesses, trade groups, and nonprofits.
“I am so honored to have a tireless leader and seasoned public servant like Mark joining the team. He will be a fantastic Chief of Staff and a true partner in our efforts to improve the lives of the people of Pennsylvania,” Senator-elect McCormick said in the press release. “This is a critical turning point in our nation’s history, and I’m grateful to have Mark in the trenches and we seek to make a change on behalf of Pennsylvanians across the commonwealth. Let’s get to work!”
Isakowitz expressed enthusiasm for the opportunity to return to the Senate and contribute to McCormick’s agenda.
“Public service is always an honor, and especially so in this case because of Dave's vision of American renewal and leadership,” Isakowitz said, according to the press release.
Senator-Elect Dave McCormick is a Republican politician and business leader from Pennsylvania, set to begin his first term in the U.S. Senate in January. A graduate of West Point and a Gulf War veteran, McCormick has also held leadership roles in the private sector, including serving as CEO of Bridgewater Associates, one of the world’s largest investment firms. Known for his focus on economic growth, national security, and strengthening American competitiveness, McCormick ran on a platform of pragmatic conservatism and a commitment to delivering results for Pennsylvanians.
