28,387 residents die of cancer in Pennsylvania in 2017

There were 28,387 Pennsylvania residents who died of cancer in 2017, a 0.4 percent decrease from the previous year, according to data obtained from the National Center for Health Statistics.

In 2016, 28,492 Pennsylvania residents died of cancer.

The National Center for Health Statistics is the nation’s primary health statistics agency. The CDC and other health-related organizations can use NCHS data for a variety of ends.
