A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was sent to Wyoming County on October 7, 2024. The request was made by Keystone Today, a media organization dedicated to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs.
The request was made under the Pennsylvania Right to Know Law, 65 §66.1 et seq., and sought access to FOIA logs sent to the county from January 1, 2024, until October 7, 2024. The requested records included the following fields:

- Request Date
- Request Complete Date
- FOIA Status
As a media organization, we at Keystone Today are involved in gathering and reporting news to the public. Access to public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities which include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public.
Given our role in disseminating information, we believe we are eligible for a fee waiver as a media professional. We eagerly await a response from Wyoming County regarding this matter.
