A new health care reform organization, Patients Come First, today launched in Pennsylvania, announcing longtime Keystone State public affairs professional Jennifer Riley as the group’s executive director.
"I'm honored to lead Patients Come First-Pennsylvania (PCF-PA) and champion the needs of patients across the Commonwealth," said Riley. "Every Pennsylvanian deserves timely access to life-saving treatments and the opportunity to benefit from groundbreaking medical innovations."
"By working collaboratively with our national team, we will fight to break down barriers between patients and the care they need," Riley said.
The organization said in a press release that it will "raise awareness about access challenges so that Pennsylvanians will be more informed about the bottlenecks in our healthcare system."
PCF has also launched groups in California, Missouri, and New Jersey.
Riley previously served as Vice President for Advocacy and Communications at Triad Strategies, where she oversaw public affairs initiatives and managed the firm’s Philadelphia-area office. She also led the campaign for Marsy’s Law for Pennsylvania, which sought to amend the state constitution to include crime victims’ rights. The initiative passed legislative sessions and was approved by voters in 2019 (Marsy’s Law for Pennsylvania).
A cum laude graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, Riley resides in Malvern, Pennsylvania, with her family.
