Rep. Brendan Boyle has recently made several statements via Twitter, highlighting concerns about national security, the qualifications of the current Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, and the pressing issue of lung cancer among women in the United States. Boyle, who represents Pennsylvania’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, has been an active voice since 2015 following his previous service in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.

In a tweet on March 26, 2025, Rep. Boyle called upon Republicans to join him in demanding the removal of Pete Hegseth, citing concerns about national security. Boyle asserted, "If Republicans are serious about national security, they’ll join me in demanding Hegseth's removal. But we know they won’t. Too many have chosen their loyalty to Donald Trump over their loyalty to America."

On the same day, Boyle expressed further critique of Hegseth in another tweet, stating, "This is the predictable — and dangerous — result of Republicans confirming one of the least qualified individuals to ever serve as Secretary of Defense. Pete Hegseth has shown he cannot be trusted to uphold the responsibilities of his office."

Switching focus to public health, Boyle addressed the impact of lung cancer on women in America in a tweet dated March 27, 2025. He highlighted the alarming statistic that a woman dies from lung cancer every eight minutes in the United States. Supporting a bipartisan initiative, Boyle announced the introduction of the Women and Lung Cancer Research and Preventative Services Act alongside Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, Sen. Tina Smith, and Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, aiming to advance the fight against this prevalent disease.
