On April 3, 2025, Fitzpatrick emphasized his environmental priorities in Congress. He noted the importance of leadership and partnerships, stating, "Real environmental progress is driven through sustained leadership, trusted partnerships, and a shared results-driven vision." Fitzpatrick highlighted his collaboration with the League of Conservation Voters (LCV) to transform shared goals into tangible outcomes.

On April 4, 2025, Fitzpatrick addressed a serious incident involving a train accident, tweeting, "This evening, a devastating tragedy occurred in Bristol when Amtrak Train 85, traveling from Boston to Richmond, Virginia, struck three individuals at approximately 6:10 p.m." He assured constituents that he and his team were in communication with local authorities and Amtrak, expressing readiness to offer support.

Fitzpatrick also took the time to recognize community service, honoring a local hero on the same day.
