Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick recently addressed important policy issues and international relationships through a series of posts on social media. Fitzpatrick, who has represented Pennsylvania's 1st district since 2017, took to his platform to discuss the limitations of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and to share insights from a meeting with representatives from the Joint Baltic American National Committee.

On April 1, 2025, Fitzpatrick highlighted the challenges faced by more than 42 million Americans who rely on SNAP benefits. He pointed out that "nearly 70% are children, seniors, or individuals with disabilities" and criticized the current restrictions that prevent these benefits from being used for hot meals like soup or rotisserie chicken. He emphasized that this policy "doesn’t make sense—and limits access to nutritious food" in his tweet.

In another post, made on the same day, Fitzpatrick encouraged his audience to delve further into the topic by including a link labeled "Read more" on his social media account, directing followers to more detailed information available on the issue.

Later that day, Fitzpatrick shared his experience meeting with Elena Harding and Linda and Elena Kruus, who are residents of Jamison and representatives of the Joint Baltic American National Committee. He described the discussion as a focus on "the ongoing strategic importance of the U.S.-Baltic alliance," highlighting Congress's role in this relationship. Fitzpatrick expressed the importance of such dialogues in his social media post.
