In a tweet posted at 20:11 UTC, Fitzpatrick stated that he led a bipartisan group urging President Trump to change his position on a specific Executive Order. He expressed, "ICYMI: I led a bipartisan group of my colleagues in urging President Trump to reverse course on his Executive Order limiting collective bargaining rights for unionized federal workers. We fully support improving government efficiency—but applying broad national security".

He spoke not just of politics, but of people—families enduring censorship, persecution, and fear. These are not abstract issues. They are the lived".
