Rep. Brendan Boyle, representing Pennsylvania's 2nd district, has made several statements on recent legislative activities through a series of tweets. Expressing concerns about proposed budgetary changes and fiscal policies, he criticizes Republican strategies that he believes would negatively impact the middle class.
On April 9, 2025, Boyle commented on proposed changes to Medicaid, stating, "Tens of millions of Americans count on Medicaid for their health care. The Republican budget would make the biggest cuts to Medicaid in American history to pay for tax cuts for the top 1%. This budget is a Republican betrayal of the middle-class. We won't stop fighting back."
Boyle elaborated on tax and health care policies later that day, saying, "Right now, Republicans are trying to force $7 trillion in tax giveaways for billionaires and big corporations at the cost of health care and food assistance for the middle class. As Ranking Member of @HouseBudgetDems, I'll keep fighting to stop them."
In a separate tweet on the evening of April 9, Boyle criticized former President Trump's tariff policy, noting a lack of strategic planning, "Imagine spending hours defending Trump’s garbage tariff policy — including to me — only for your boss to reverse it an hour later. No strategy. Just vibes, sycophancy, and a thirst for power. These people will torch the country if it keeps them in charge." Boyle, who has been a member of Congress since 2015, continues to express his commitment to addressing these issues as a representative of the 2nd district in Pennsylvania.
