BOROUGH OF BRENTWOOD: Borough Eases Restrictions While Maintaining Vigilance

Local gov stock 01

Borough of Brentwood issued the following announcement on June 8.

As better-than-exepcted news on the trajectory of the novel coronavirus has led to a general loosening of pandemic-related restrictions in Allegheny County, Brentwood Borough is also preparing to remove additional limitations to its operations.

  • Beginning June 9th, the municipal building lobby will be opened to visitors. The use of masks is a mandatory condition of entry. Face-to-face meetings with individual employees are strongly discouraged, and all business should be conducted at the administrative and/or police clerical counter to the greatest extent possible.
  • Members of the public may attend meetings of Council in person, but a remote option will remain available via Microsoft Teams. The Planning Commission and Zoning Hearing Board meetings will also return to their duties.
  • The Police Department has returned to its regular schedule. In order to limit officer exposure, individuals are still encouraged to submit non-emergency requests via Crimewatch and to utilize CrashDocs for accident reports.
  • Building inspections will now take place in person. The Borough will continue to use Microsoft Teams to conduct virtual occupancy inspections.
  • The majority of Brentwood Park was reopened on June 5th. Restrictions will be placed on the number of individuals that can utilize each facility at any one time. The playground and the pavilion remain closed. Exercise courses will resume June 8th. The community room will be available for rent at a reduced capacity.
