Borough of Bradford Woods issued the following announcement on Aug 6.
It’s that time of year when wildlife is moving all around the area, including Bradford Woods. A little black bear was reported to be seen in the Borough on August 6, 2020 in the morning. Bears can walk 5-10 miles a day and is most likely on the move and leaving the area.
This instance has been documented and reported with the PA Game Commission. If you see the bear, please contact the Borough office or the PA Game Commission Southwestern Office ((724) 238-9523 -press 0 for dispatch) to track the black bear.
Please keep your bird feeders/other feeders/sources of scavenging inside for the time being to promote the bear to move onward.
