Borough of Bradford Woods issued the following announcement on Dec 21.
Bradford Woods Council adopted an ordinance during the December 14, 2020 public meeting to establish regulations prohibiting feeding deer . Council also voted to enforce the ordinance 60 days after adoption, therefore enforcement of this ordinance will not begin until mid-February. This allows time for residents to come into compliance with the ordinance. Please see adopted ordinance below. AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOROUGH OF BRADFORD WOODS TO AMEND CHAPTER 89 ANIMALS, TO ESTABLISH REGULATIONS PROHIBITING FEEDING DEER
WHEREAS, the Borough of Bradford Woods (“Borough”) desires to establish an ordinance prohibiting the feeding of deer on private or public property.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDAINED and ENACTED by the Borough Council that Chapter 89, Article IV, Animals is amended to add the following Article:
Article IV: Feeding of Deer Prohibited.
§ 89-__ Feeding of Deer Prohibited.
1. No person may place or allow to be placed any device, fruit, grain, mineral, salt, salt stick, vegetable or other material outdoors on any public or private property for the purpose of attracting or feeding deer. This prohibition includes, but is not limited to, disbursement of food on the ground, at a feeding station, in a feeding device, or in a container of any form; providing a salt or mineral lick/block; or any other means which serves to provide feed to any deer. No person shall be heard to have placed any device, fruit, grain, mineral, salt, salt stick, vegetable or other material outdoors on any public or private property for the purpose of attracting any other animals, and not for the purpose of attracting or feeding deer, if the effect of placing any device, fruit, grain, mineral, salt, salt stick, vegetable or other materials is the attraction and feeding of deer. This prohibition also shall not apply to licensed veterinarians, Animal Control Officers, or county, state, or federal game officials who are in the course of their duties and have deer in their custody or under their management.
2. Each property owner shall have the duty to remove any materials placed on the owner's property in violation of this Part. Failure to remove such materials within 24 hours after notice shall constitute a violation.
This Part shall not apply to naturally growing materials, including but not limited to fruit, grain, nuts, seeds and vegetables.
§ 89-__Violations and Penalties.
1. Any person or entity found in violation of any provision of this Part shall be subject to the following fines and penalties:

| Second offense | $75 |
| Third offense | $150 |
| Fourth offense and all subsequent offenses | $300 |
2. A separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day or part of each day during which a violation occurs or continues.
