Washington DC - SOME Thanksgiving Day Trot for Hunger

It's never too early to start thinking about the holidays!

We welcome you to join your fellow DC Hawks (virtually OR in-person) to support SOME and get some exercise. This Annual 5K Run/Walk helps to raise awareness and critical funds for SOME (So Others Might Eat), a non-profit organization that has been serving thousands of families and individuals experiencing homelessness and poverty in Washington, DC for 50 years.

Amid the pandemic, SOME remains committed to providing essential services to those in need by providing more than 1,200 hot meals to hungry men, women and children each day. SOME also provides clothing, medical care, job training, affordable housing, and other services to help individuals and families in need to achieve long-term stability.

Join the DC team, DC HAWKS. The last day of completion is on Thursday, November 24. If you choose to complete the race in-person, it will be held in Washington, DC at Freedom Plaza on Thanksgiving. If you are going to participate virtually, the event will run until the end of the month. There are options available to fit your travel schedule and comfortability-level.
