A message from our friends at Brookville Fire Company

Dear Community Members,

During the past year (2022), the Brookville Volunteer Fire Company responded to 233 alarms with an average response time of 5 minutes and 7 members per alarm. The alarms consisted of the following:

· Motor Vehicle Accidents – 57 (1 with Entrapment)

· Automatic Fire Alarms – 45

· Structure Fires – 31

· EMS Assist – 27

· Trees/Wires Down – 20

· Traffic Control – 15

· Brush/Rubbish/Outside Fires – 10

· Transfer/Stand By Assignments – 8

· Vehicle Fires – 6

· Natural Gas Incident – 3

· Odor/Smoke Investigation – 3

· Physical/Animal Rescue – 3

· Carbon Monoxide – 2

· Assist Police – 1

· Flooding – 1

· Fuel Spill/Hazardous Material – 1

· Landing Zone – 1

One hundred-sixty (160) of the alarms were within the Borough of Brookville. The others were in mutual aid with the following stations:

· Corsica VFC – 19

· Pine Creek Twp. VFD – 19

· Summerville VFA – 9

· Sigel VFD – 8

· Punxsy VFD – 6

· Brockway VHC – 5

· Oliver Twp. VFC – 2

· Reynoldsville VFD – 2

· Warsaw Twp. VFC – 2

· Knox Twp. VFC – 1

There was also thirty-three Chief Calls during the year.

The members of the Brookville Volunteer Fire Company would like to thank everyone for their support, and are looking forward to continuing our services to the Borough of Brookville and the surrounding areas in the new year.
