Brendan Boyle comments on Pearl Harbor remembrance and changes in Syria

Rep. Brendan Boyle, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Pennsylvania’s 2nd district since 2015, recently shared a series of tweets addressing significant historical and geopolitical events.

On December 7, 2024, Rep. Boyle tweeted about Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day: "Today, we honor the 2,300 servicemembers who lost their lives in the attack on Pearl Harbor — and all of those who fought for our country in the years that followed. We must never forget their bravery."

The following day, December 8, 2024, he commented on developments in Syria: "For nearly a quarter of a century, the Syrian people have bravely confronted Assad’s brutal and murderous regime. Having worked tirelessly over the past decade as an advocate for the Free Syria movement in Congress, I am relieved to see that the butcher has fallen."

Continuing his remarks on Syria on December 8, he emphasized future prospects for Syrians: "The end of Assad’s brutal regime must be an opportunity for the Syrian people to decide their own future, free of repression and sectarian violence."
