Rep. Brendan Boyle, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Pennsylvania’s 2nd district, shared updates on his recent activities and achievements through a series of tweets. Boyle has been an active member of Congress since 2015 after succeeding Allyson Schwartz and previously served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2009 to 2015.

On December 11, 2024, Boyle announced his re-election as the top Democrat on the House Budget Committee. He expressed his commitment to continuing efforts for working families by stating, "I'm honored to have been unanimously re-elected as the top Democrat on @HouseBudgetDems — and I'm ready to continue leading the fight for working families."

The following day, December 12, 2024, Boyle highlighted a significant development regarding the Weitzman Museum. He mentioned that this step would enhance the museum's resources and reach comparable to that of the Smithsonian Institution. In his words, "This is an important step towards giving the Weitzman Museum the resources and reach of the Smithsonian Institution — which will support the museum's important work educating and inspiring future generations."

Additionally, on December 12, 2024, Boyle announced a legislative achievement concerning Philadelphia's Weitzman Museum. He revealed that President Biden had signed a bill he co-sponsored with Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz to explore integrating the museum into the Smithsonian network. Boyle stated, "Philly's @weitzmanmuseum is our nation's only museum dedicated exclusively to exploring the American Jewish experience. I'm happy to announce that President Biden has signed my bill with @RepDWStweets to study making the Weitzman Museum in my district part of the @smithsonian!"
