What a great event today! We had some fun learning about Nikigo, a soy free soy sauce in the beginning phase of production-thank you Doug Doerfler for stepping up to the blind taste test.
Our event sponsor, Kennett Community Grocer taught us about the value of joining their Co-op. KCG will be a member-owned and operated one-stop shop providing the whole community with nutritious and delicious food, create living-wage jobs, and provide access to healthful nutrition education. Their mission is to sustain the power of "local." Every $1,000 spent at a Food Co-op generates more than $1,600 in the local economy!!
