Common Cause Pennsylvania, a nonpartisan voting rights organization, is urging voters with mail ballots to ensure their votes are counted by following specific steps. Voters should place their ballot in the yellow secrecy envelope, sign and date the outer return envelope, and deliver it personally to a drop box or county election office by 8 p.m. on Tuesday. Election Day polling hours are from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., and polling locations can be found at vote.pa.gov.

Philip Hensley-Robin, Executive Director of Common Cause Pennsylvania, emphasized the importance of these actions: “We want to remind voters with mail ballots to sign, correctly date, and deliver their ballot at a drop box or county election office today.” He added that over one million voters have already participated in the 2024 election. For those who have lost their mail ballot or failed to sign or date it properly, provisional voting at polling places remains an option.

The organization co-leads the largest nonpartisan Election Protection Coalition in Pennsylvania. This coalition comprises various organizations dedicated to recruiting and training volunteers to support voters at polls across the state. They also operate a toll-free hotline offering assistance in multiple languages for any voting-related issues.

Voters facing challenges or questions during the voting process are encouraged to use this hotline:

- English: 866-OUR-VOTE / 866-687-8683

- Spanish: 888-VE-Y-VOTA / 888-839-8682

- Asian Languages: 888-API-VOTE / 888-274-8683

- Arabic: 844-YALLA-US / 844-925-5287

Important reminders for Election Day include bringing photo or non-photo ID if it's your first time voting and avoiding peak times like morning and evening if possible. Polls will remain open from 7 a.m. until closing at 8 p.m., with all individuals in line by that time permitted to vote.
