Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Pennsylvania’s 1st district, recently addressed two significant issues through his social media platform. On November 18, 2024, he highlighted concerns regarding potential tax increases for American families. The following day, November 19, he focused on the pressing public health crisis posed by PFAS contamination and the legislative efforts to combat it.

On November 18, Rep. Fitzpatrick shared a statement from Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith regarding impending tax hikes. "Without action, the average family of four will have to pay the equivalent of nine weeks of groceries in higher taxes," Smith stated. Fitzpatrick emphasized that the nation is "on the brink of the largest tax hike in our nation’s history."

The following day, on November 19, Rep. Fitzpatrick turned his attention to environmental health concerns as Co-Chair of the Congressional PFAS Task Force alongside Rep. Dan Kildee. He described PFAS contamination as "one of the most serious and far-reaching public health crises of our time." He underscored their bipartisan commitment to addressing this issue with decisive action.

In addition to his statements on PFAS contamination, Rep. Fitzpatrick provided a link for further reading about related legislation on November 19: "Read more about the legislation ⬇️:"
