The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has expressed its views following the recent approval of Pennsylvania's state budget for 2024-25. The organization, which advocates for small businesses across the United States, shared a statement from Assistant State Director Melissa Morgan regarding the legislative developments.

Morgan stated, "NFIB is pleased that the recently enacted 2024-25 state budget does not contain new or increased taxes on the small business community." However, she also conveyed disappointment over the absence of specific tax reforms beneficial to small businesses. These include measures such as allowing pass-through entities to use net operating losses similarly to large corporations, repealing accelerated sales tax prepayments, and introducing a personal income tax deduction.

For eight decades, NFIB has represented America's small and independent business owners at both federal and state levels. As a nonprofit and nonpartisan organization founded in 1943, NFIB remains committed to supporting these businesses. Further information about their initiatives can be found on their website.
