Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Pennsylvania’s 1st district since 2017, recently shared updates on his legislative activities and international engagements through a series of tweets. Fitzpatrick, who has been active in addressing both domestic and international issues, highlighted his commitment to school safety, condemned various forms of global violence, and shared insights from his recent travels.

On February 21, 2025, Rep. Fitzpatrick announced the introduction of the bipartisan Measures for Safer School Districts (MSD) Act. He emphasized the importance of providing a secure learning environment for children and peace of mind for parents. In his words: "ICYMI: Last week, I introduced the bipartisan Measures for Safer School Districts (MSD) Act because every child deserves to learn in a safe environment, and every parent deserves peace of mind."

The following day, February 22, 2025, he addressed global security concerns by drawing parallels between different threats to civilian safety worldwide. He stated: "Political Dictators like Putin, Terrorist Groups like Hamas, and Drug Cartels like Sinaloa all have the same thing in common: They invade, kidnap, rape, torture and murder innocent civilians in order to achieve their evil, self-serving goals." Fitzpatrick stressed the need for consistent condemnation across these groups.

Later that day on February 22nd, Rep. Fitzpatrick reflected on his recent diplomatic engagements during critical NATO meetings. He noted meeting Valerii Zaluzhnyi, former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from 2021 until 2024. Fitzpatrick expressed admiration for Zaluzhnyi's leadership during Ukraine's defense against Russian aggression in 2022: "On my way home from very critical NATO meetings... I journeyed to meet a very important leader... leading Ukraine’s heroic defense against the brutal 2022 full-scale Russian..."
