House Committee on Agriculture Chairman Glenn “GT” Thompson, along with other Republican committee chairmen, has expressed support for the House Budget Resolution endorsed by former President Trump. The resolution is set to be voted on in the U.S. House of Representatives this week.

Chairman Thompson was joined by Budget Committee Chairman Jodey Arrington, Armed Services Committee Chairman Mike Rogers, Education and Workforce Chairman Tim Walberg, Energy and Commerce Chairman Brett Guthrie, Financial Services Committee Chairman French Hill, Natural Resources Committee Chairman Bruce Westerman, Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman Sam Graves, and Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith in releasing a joint statement regarding the resolution.

The statement emphasizes that the proposed bill aligns with President Trump's policy agenda. It aims to provide tax relief for working families and small businesses while also focusing on American energy independence. Additionally, it seeks to control government spending and reduce regulatory measures put in place by the Biden-Harris administration. Border security and military strengthening are also highlighted as key components of the bill.

"The House’s ‘one big beautiful bill’ delivers on the entirety of President Trump’s policy agenda—providing tax relief for working families and small businesses, unleashing American energy, reining in wasteful spending, and dismantling the Biden-Harris regulatory regime as well as securing the border and bolstering our military—all in a fiscally responsible way that reduces our debt-to-GDP and puts our nation on a path to balance," stated the committee chairmen.

They further added their anticipation of passing what they described as a significant legislative measure: "We must meet this historic moment with the bold action it requires and deliver on President Trump's America First Agenda. We look forward to the House passing this consequential piece of legislation to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN."
