Rep. Brendan Boyle, currently serving Pennsylvania’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, has expressed his concerns on social media regarding recent political developments and events affecting his community. His statements, shared through a series of tweets, address issues ranging from budgetary policies to public safety and education.
On March 19, 2025, Boyle referenced a report by The Budget Lab in a tweet where he criticized the GOP's budget plan: "A new report from @The_Budget_Lab confirms the GOP budget steals from the middle class to give to the ultra-rich. While billionaires get massive giveaways, costs go up for the bottom 40%. Republicans are proving they work for their billionaire donors—not for working Americans."
The following day, March 20, 2025, Boyle tweeted his support for law enforcement after an officer was injured: "I'm praying for a swift recovery for the injured officer. Today and every day, we owe our @PhillyPolice an incredible debt of gratitude for the dangerous work they do to keep our community safe."
Later that same day, Boyle voiced his opposition to proposals aimed at dismantling the Department of Education: "Dismantling the Department of Education would take $80 million away from students in our community. It's unconscionable that Republicans want to rob our kids' futures to fund giveaways for the ultra-rich. In Congress and in the courts, we're going to fight to defend our kids."
