House Republican leaders and committee chairs have issued a joint statement on budget reconciliation. Speaker Johnson, Leader Scalise, Whip Emmer, and Chairwoman McClain were joined by the chairmen of several House committees in releasing the statement. The committee chairs involved are Thompson, Rogers, Arrington, Guthrie, Walberg, Hill, Green, Jordan, Westerman, Comer, Graves, and Smith.

The statement highlights the passage of a bill to fund the government through the fiscal year as a priority for House Republicans. It also emphasizes their focus on advancing President Trump's "America First" agenda.

"The House is determined to send the president one big, beautiful bill that secures our border," reads part of the statement. Other priorities mentioned include keeping taxes low for families and job creators and growing the economy.

The leaders expressed hope that the Senate will join them in enacting President Trump's agenda swiftly. "We took the first step to accomplish that by passing a budget resolution weeks ago," they stated.

They urged Senate colleagues to consider the House budget resolution upon returning to Washington. The statement concludes with an emphasis on working together to deliver what they believe could be one of history's most significant legislative pieces.

"This is our opportunity to deliver what will be one of the most consequential pieces of legislation in the history of our nation," they asserted.
